Safe

Everyone should feel safe in Plymouth. On the city council, I will put public safety first by ensuring protection for all residents, including keeping immigrant community members safe. 

 

Our neighborhood security spans physical, digital, and infrastructure needs. We must address traffic dangers by implementing stricter regulations for e-bikes and e-scooters, ensuring kids can safely walk to the park and cross the street, and feeling secure from cars while walking our dogs and riding bikes. 

 

Additionally, public safety means safeguarding our digital privacy by protecting data from license plate readers and defending our automated utilities from cyber threats.

Affordable

Opportunities to live in Plymouth shouldn't be limited by income. We need mixed-income housing and co-ops so teachers, nurses, service workers, and city employees can live where they work. Affordable housing is vital for seniors on fixed incomes and young working families. Public-private partnerships are key to keeping homes affordable.

Instead of cutting services, we can save taxpayer money with smart choices. We should put solar panels on city buildings to make our own power. Upgrading lights and heating will make buildings efficient. We can offer rewards for energy-saving appliances and soften water at the source so families save money. 

These steps cut long-term costs, protect our environment, and keep taxes low.

Inclusive

Plymouth should be inclusive for all. To represent everyone, I will move us from supportive words of the past to strong actions of the future. I will push the city to co-sponsor cultural events like the West Metro Asian Fair and Plymouth Pride. 

 

City policy must focus on creating diverse recreation programs and making sure our parks have accessible equipment for children of all abilities.

 

I will make sure city committees reflect our full diversity. Using an inclusion mindset builds community resiliency so city services, public spaces, and parks welcome everyone. 

 

Above all, I will stay in close contact with community leaders, listening and showing up in person to act whenever our neighbors are in need.
